“Mr. Blister” offers Cleaning, Decluttering, Downsizing & Helping Hands

— Lanark County and surrounding areas, Ontario

Whether you’re preparing to move, settling an estate, or simply tired of clutter that’s built up over the years, I’ll help you take it one easy, caring step at a time.

I’m “Mr. Blister”, your local, hands-on helper for decluttering, downsizing, small repairs, cleaning and home organization.

My approach is simple: kindness, reliability, and respect. No judgement, no rush — just practical help and a steady hand when life feels too full of “stuff.”

Services

  • Hands-on help to sort, organize, and simplify your home before a move or life transition. I can assist with deciding what to keep, donate, or let go — and make the process feel calm and manageable.

  • Creating simple, functional systems that bring clarity and order to everyday living. From closets and kitchens to garages and basements, I’ll help you make the most of your space.

  • Help with sorting, pricing, and setting up for a yard sale, plus arranging donation drop-offs for items you no longer need. Perfect for clearing space and giving things a new life.

  • Thorough and reliable cleaning for homes, cottages, and rental properties — from seasonal refreshes to deep cleans. Ideal before or after a move, or just to start the New Year fresh.

  • Support before and after a move — packing, light cleaning, and making sure everything is ready without the chaos. I’ll help you leave one space and start fresh in the next.

  • Quick, responsible removal of unwanted items — furniture, boxes, or general clutter — saving you the time and effort of hauling it yourself.

  • Light maintenance tasks like tightening handles, patching small holes, fixing squeaks, or minor paint touch-ups — the little jobs that make a big difference.

  • If you need a space tidied fast — before guests, showings, or a move — I can stay late or come on short notice to get it done right.

  • No judgement — just help. If your home has become too much to handle, I can step in to bring it back under control with patience and understanding. Together, we’ll restore comfort and order one room at a time.

  • Sometimes life doesn’t fit neatly into a list — and that’s okay.
Whether it’s helping sort a shed, setting up furniture, organizing a photo collection, or lending a hand with something unique, I’m open to new ideas and always happy to see how I can help.

Seasonal Garden & Outdoor Care

  • Helping you get your property ready for the season — clearing winter debris, trimming perennials, mowing, leaf blowing, and general garden tidying. I use your own equipment (lawnmower, trimmer, or leaf blower) and offer professional pruning for shrubs and small to medium-sized fruit trees to keep your yard healthy and beautiful.

  • Preparing your home and garden for the colder months — raking, trimming back plants, storing outdoor items, and ensuring everything is neat and ready for winter.

  • If you can’t manage snow clearing or just need an extra hand, I can use your private snowblower or shovel to keep walkways, steps, and smaller driveways clear and safe. Reliable, friendly help when the snow piles up.

Testimonials

“Matthew was such a help this fall. I could not manage the garden myself and he cleaned the leaves and got everything ready for winter. I felt so much better knowing I was not alone with it. He made a big difference.”
L.M. from Smith Falls

“I cannot say enough about how grateful I am for Matthew. I was feeling overwhelmed with years of things piling up in my basement and did not know where to begin. He helped me sort everything, prepare for a garage sale, and took care of donations and dump runs too. I felt like a huge weight had been lifted. It meant so much to have someone I could trust when I was on my own.”
L & S from Perth

“Matthew did a wonderful job in my home. He deep cleaned, set up the AC, hung curtain rods, and fixed small things I could not do anymore. It meant a lot to have someone I could depend on. I am very thankful.”
